4 Days after the Successful Separation of the Yemeni Conjoined Twins Abdulrahman and Abdullah
4 days after the successful separation of the Yemeni conjoined twins Abdulrahman and Abdullah performed on Saturday, 28 February 2015 at the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs (KAMC) the Head of the Surgical and Multidisciplinary Team, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah stated that the twins are stable in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), however, Abdullah requires very careful attention due to his complex and anomalous heart and under developed brain.

Both twins have been taken off the artificial respirator and are progressing well with all vital organs functioning well. They are awake and interacting with their parents and staff.

Both twins will be kept at the PICU for at least 10 days and then will be transferred to the Pediatric Ward to commence their rehabilitation.

The parents of the twins are extremely appreciative and thankful to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, HRH Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard and Deputy Crown Prince for their generosity and humanitarian gesture. They have also expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Medical Team for the outcome of the separation.
