Progress Report – Wednesday 05 January 2005: Daria and Olga Respond and Systems Function Normally
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Chief Surgeon and Head of the Multidisciplinary Team stated today, 05 January 2005, that two (2) days after the successful separation operation, lasting approximately 18 hours, the Polish conjoined twins Daria and Olga, are responding well. They have opened their eyes and moved their lower limbs.

Dr. Rabeeah further stated that their wounds are healing quite well, and their vital signs, including heart, lungs, liver and kidneys are returning to normal function.

Notably, this is the ninth separation operation performed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the sixth at King Abdulaziz Medical City-Riyadh, by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Chief Surgeon and Head of the Multidisciplinary Team.
