Based on the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the separation of the Moroccan conjoined twins Azizah and Saeedah will take place on Saturday, 20 June 2009.
A meeting of the Multidisciplinary team headed by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah took place on Saturday 13 June 2009.
After an in-depth discussion by the members of the team it was decided to perform the separation as stated on 20 June 2009. The separation will take approximately 14 hours and will have seven phases. Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah met with twins parents to explain the details of the separation to them.
Based on the directive of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the twins arrived in Riyadh from Morocco on the 23 May 2009.
King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh has become internationally acclaimed for the separation of conjoined twins. Aziizah and Saeedah will mark the 23rd separation to take place.
