72 Hours after The Successful Separation of The Moroccan Conjoined Twins Alsafa & Almarwa
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Head of the Multidisciplinary Team stated that 72 hours after the successful separation of the Moroccan twins Alsafa and Almarwa, the twin AlSafa is now awake, moves her extremities and has started to breathe on her own and interact with the medical team and her parents. Her vital organs continue to be very stable without any sign of complications and is expected to be taken off the artificial respirator within a couple of days.

The other twin Almarwa who has been in a very critical condition due to her congenital heart disease has started to show some stability over the last 24 hours but continues to be critical. However, there are no indications of any complications related to her surgery. The Medical Team is working hard to ensure the stability of her cardiac and vascular systems.

Dr. Rabeeah stated that she will require a few more days in order for her to become stable but they are more optimistic than before.
