38 Hours after The Successful Separation of The Egyptian Conjoined Twins Hassan & Mahmoud
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Head of the Multidisciplinary Team stated that 38 hours after the successful separation of the Egyptian conjoined twins Hassan and Mahmoud continue to do well. Their vital organs are stable and there is no evidence of any infection.

The twin Mahmoud is progressing more rapidly than his brother and has started to wake-up and open his eyes and move his extremities. The Medical Team have started to reduce the artificial respirator and he is expected to be taken off the respirator within the coming 24 hours.

The other twin Hassan is recovering slowly. He is moving his extremities but continues to require more sedation and close monitoring and he is requiring more intravenous fluid. However, the Medical Team is optimistic that he will start to improve within the coming few days.

Both parents are happy and they are visiting the twins regularly and they are extremely appreciative of the generosity and care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as from the Medical Team.
